((CO- FOUNDER- THE D’HAMIDI PARTNERSHIP))

Faraz is an advertising legend. He has been spotted scaling the K2 on weekends with his Russian mistress, Anya Petrolova, and her beloved uncle, Sacha Gorky — his mentor, and the inventor of the full-stop. He is loved and despised (sometimes on the same day) for his monumental talents. He has been known to bring a Bengal Tiger to its knees by coyly whispering forgotten Punjabi slurs into its ear. He can cook a neat desi omelette with one hand while conducting the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra with the other. In his downtime, he hang-glide over the cliffs of Murree. He writes poetry that gives Shakespeare convulsions in his grave. His last novel was on the New York Times Best Sellers List for countless years and was penned overnight in Morse Code. He has cursed; he has lied; he had to leave a trail of broken hearts behind to be married to the most beautiful woman in the world — who knows nothing of Anya (... well, not yet). His children, both blond, entered the world holding onto their personalized silver spoons. his family traces its roots to the tallest tents of the first Muslims. Conquest is in his blood — which runs like the currents of his fabled imagination. His dreams are decoded fortnightly to set the economy right. Presidents swear by me. Victoria’s Secret sends him samples to approve. He has written headlines on scraps of paper that have changed the course of history. He can speak in Mandarin to the Chinese and in sign-language to the North Koreans. Although he is temperamentally reclusive, his executive office handles all his fan mail — which comes perfumed. The French are devotees of his sense of style; the Japanese have covertly transcribed his moral conscience and personal integrity into a manual; the Panamanians are opening the debate to rename their canal after his late-great-grandfather, who was lost at sea — and was last spotted doing the butterfly across the South Pacific and may still be. He is the subject of the BBC’s next documentary on Mass Influence. Spielberg insists on filming his bio-pic. Once, during a picnic in Aleppo, he negotiated a peace deal with ISIS — just to see what it feels like. The UN has asked to charter aircraft for him should he ever care to visit with his good friend, Angelina, who shares creative vision and his sense of humour. (Oh, the peals of laughter!) He has done all of this. But he has never had a chance to applaud his agency's work.

With a major in Philosophy, Farah started her career as a banker. But when she moved to Chicago in the 90s, the dot com boom was in full swing. She switched industries and hasn’t looked back since. Passion and innovation are the driving factors in all Farah does - to look at brands and see potential where none existed, or to extract that one missing element which will make a campaign stand apart. Be it rebranding exercises, traditional marketing campaigns, app creation, social media strategy or simply trend-spotting - these are the drivers of a perfect daily diet for Farah. Currently obsessing over ‘disruptive innovation,’ Farah lives in Kuala Lumpur with her husband and son, 2 German Shepherds and Chotoo the cat. She runs her own brand consultancy and has a rich array of clients based in the US, Singapore, Malaysia, the UAE and Pakistan.

I am an advertising legend. I have been spotted scaling the K2 on weekends with my Russian mistress, Anya Petrolova, and her beloved uncle, Sacha Gorky — my mentor, and the inventor of the full-stop. I am loved and despised (sometimes on the same day) for my monumental talents. I have been known to bring a Bengal Tiger to its knees by coyly whispering forgotten Punjabi slurs into its ear. I can cook a neat desi omelette with one hand while conducting the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra with the other. In my downtime, I hang-glide over the cliffs of Murree. I write poetry that gives Shakespeare convulsions in his grave. My last novel was on the New York Times Best Sellers List for countless years and was penned overnight in Morse Code. I have cursed; I have lied; I’ve had to leave a trail of broken hearts behind to be married to the most beautiful woman in the world — who knows nothing of Anya (... well, not yet). My children, both blond, entered the world holding onto their personalized silver spoons. My family traces its roots to the tallest tents of the first Muslims. Conquest is in my blood — which runs like the currents of my fabled imagination. My dreams are decoded fortnightly to set the economy right. Presidents swear by me. Victoria’s Secret send me samples to approve. I have written headlines on scraps of paper that have changed the course of history. I can speak in Mandarin to the Chinese and in sign-language to the North Koreans. Although I am temperamentally reclusive, my executive office handles all my fan mail — which comes perfumed. The French are devotees of my sense of style; the Japanese have covertly transcribed my moral conscience and personal integrity into a manual; the Panamanians are opening the debate to rename their canal after my late-great-grandfather, who was lost at sea — and was last spotted doing the butterfly across the South Pacific. And may still be. I am the subject of the BBC’s next documentary on Mass Influence. Spielberg insists on filming my bio-pic. Once, during a picnic in Aleppo, I negotiated a peace deal with ISIS — just to see what it feels like. The UN has asked to charter aircraft for me should I ever care to visit with my good friend, Angelina, who shares my creative vision and my sense of humour. (Oh, the peals of laughter!) I have done all of this. But I've never had a chance to applaud your agency's work.

(CIO, Adcom)

His most recent claim to fame was, earlier this year, as ‘the man behind the chick(en) with the naked leg’, titillating an auditorium full of high-school students, and scandalizing their teachers in attendance. Rewind a few years earlier and he was spotted tying up a student in ropes during a design studio class. Random sightings over the years indicate an unhealthy desire for torturing students as a thesis juror and as adjunct faculty in both Architecture and Communication Design Departments at IVS since its early days. Multiple tenures on the Communication Design Board of Studies and the Academic Committee ensured that even the faculty weren’t spared his outspoken bluntness. Reports of him popping up on thesis juries have also come in from Szabist and the Karachi University Dept. of Visual Studies as well where he has been an almost-regular fixture for a decade. Ofcourse award show juries are another matter altogether and the reasons for his presence on this jury panel may lie elsewhere, possibly in some connection with his professional career probably not his years as an architect working for one of the leading architectural design firm more likely his 18+ years at Adcom, as Creative Director, then Chief Creative Officer, during which time the agency built a formidable reputation as a creative powerhouse in face of tough competition from Multi-national agency networks or his two year sabbatical from Adcom during which he was at the helm of Green Man’s Ark, an integrated communications endeavor, that resulted in three PAS awards being bagged by the start-up including Best in Digital in 2014. (Reports suggest that he’s back at Adcom with a different mandate now, as Chief Innovation Officer) In this span of time, there is evidence of a varied body of work: from large scale campaigns for big-budget clients to design intensive work for clients that wouldn’t be a blip on the radar of most agencies… butall of it memorable enough to win accolades over the years. He attributescredit for all those awards to the teams at the two agencies, which is how it should be. However he is adamant for not sharing the credit for the chicken with the naked leg with anyone. Whether worthy of applause or vitriol, he insists that he was the only one responsible for the Nando’s spoof of Angelina Jolie’s provocative pose at the 2012 Oscars Red Carpet.

(Co-Founder, The D'Hamidi Partnership)

Once, during a picnic in Tora Bora, I negotiated a peace deal with the Taliban — just to see what it feels like. The UN has asked to charter aircraft for me should I ever care to visit with my good friend, Angelina, who shares my creative vision and my sense of humour. (Oh, the laughter!) I have done all of this. But I have never juried a PAS Awards Show.

Imtisal Abbasi speaks in tongues, Urdu, English, Punjabi and Sindhi but also that of film, music, business and dosti, deftly handling each to spin a story or two, with the most successful being the agency he came to as an employee and now runs. During this time he has had to throw a punch or two (learnt at boarding school as a child) - both literal and metaphorical so you are best advised to avoid rolling your eyes or saying 'Are you sure about that?'. At the University of Southern California he majored in film but did courses in law to appease his barrister father, graduating sum cum laude. After a passing flirtation with both the Pakistani film and television industries, Imtisal settled into a long cohabitation with the somewhat seductive and temperamental world of advertising.
