The PAS Awards 2015 is all about celebrating and honoring the most effective communications that ran in Pakistan during 2014. In its 5th year now, the Award programme rolled out yesterday at a local café where advertising and marketing fraternity gathered to find out what is new this year.
Aly Mustansir, Chairman – PAS Awards Committee welcomed the guests to the briefing session and apprised them of how PAS aspires to raise the bar of standard each year and how the programme developed step by step over the years.
Talking about the new elements of the programme, the most cheering aspect received full-heartedly by all was the inclusion of a “Lifetime Achievement Award” that PAS has initiated this year. Identifying and rewarding great work of people from the advertising/marketing industry, it would bring any one of copywriters, visualizers, producers, strategist, brand ambassadors or marketers in the limelight. The idea is to acknowledge tremendously great work being done in the industry.
The briefing session unveiled exciting new categories, flexible payment formats and for the first time involvement of an independent auditor who will overlook and monitor the entire process of judging.
Khurram Koraishy, Chairman – PAS thanked the guests for their presence and for their enthusiastic support that makes the Award programme successful.
Over 50 guests comprising from brands such as National Foods, Engro, HBL, Bank Al-Falah, Expresso, Pizza Hut, TPL Holding, Tapal, Unilever, Express News, Millward Brown, ZIL, Dabur and Cinepax among others were present. From the agency side, JWT, Lowe & Rauf, Spectrum Y&R, Adcom, GroupM, Convex Interactive, Media Idee, Resource Edge and IAL Satchi & Satchi and Synergy Advertising were present.
PAS Awards 2015 is open for entries now and will accept the entries until February 13, 2015. The Award programme is scheduled to take place in April this year.
